Position: General Duty Assistant (GDA)

Employment Type: Full time (12 Hours per day)

Shift: Rotational shifts, including day/night shifts

Job Summary

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate General Duty Assistants (GDA) to support nurses and hospital staff in providing safe, hygienic, and comfortable patient care. The GDA will assist with routine patient-care activities, ward cleanliness, patient movement, and other assigned hospital duties.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist patients with basic daily activities as instructed by nursing staff.
- Support nurses in routine patient-care activities.
- Assist in shifting and transferring patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
- Help patients with mobility and positioning as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the patient and assigned area.
- Assist in changing bed sheets, making beds, and maintaining patient comfort.
- Collect and transport samples, reports, medicines, and other items as instructed.
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures, investigations, and transfers.
- Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene, and hospital safety protocols.




- Properly handle and dispose of waste according to hospital guidelines.
- Maintain respectful and professional communication with patients and attendants.
- Report any change in the patient's condition or any concern immediately to the nursing staff.
- Support emergency and other hospital activities as directed by supervisors.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Nursing Supervisor or Hospital Management.

Eligibility & Skills
- Previous hospital or healthcare experience will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and hospital hygiene.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, responsible, and patient-friendly attitude.
- Physically fit and able to assist with patient movement.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Working Conditions
- Full-time hospital-based position.
- Rotational shifts: Morning / Evening / Night as per hospital duty roster.

Pay: ₹13,803.06 - ₹15,137.03 per month
