Valcore Foods is an innovative food manufacturer based in Mohali, Punjab. Our product portfolio includes processed food ingredients and raw materials supplied to leading global culinary and QSR brands.

We are looking for an experienced Food Technologist with a strong understanding of food ingredients and fruit/vegetable processing systems and technologies.

The successful candidate will work closely with our R&D;, Quality, and Production teams to identify and qualify raw materials and suppliers, support new product and process development, and evaluate tech and processes that can enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Experience with regulatory compliance, technical documentation, and general operations experience would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material Sourcing & Qualification

- Work closely with R&D; and Quality teams to identify and source raw materials and ingredients required for existing products and new development projects.
- Research alternate ingredients and supply sources based on technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate sampling, trials, and technical evaluation of new materials.

Supplier Development & Strategic Procurement

- Identify and qualify suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and processing equipment.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, specifications and commercial proposals.
- Participate in price and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
- Develop alternate supply sources to improve cost, quality and supply reliability.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers.
- Product & Process Optimisation
- Assist R&D; and Production teams with product trials, process optimisation and commercial scale-up.
- Evaluate ingredients, formulations and processing parameters with a focus on improving product quality, consistency, yield and cost.

Technology & Market Research

- Research emerging food-processing technologies, ingredients,



equipment and manufacturing concepts.
- Evaluate opportunities for process re-engineering, automation, yield improvement and value addition.
- Identify technologies and solutions relevant to recent product development and existing manufacturing operations.

Cross-Functional Projects

- Work across R&D;, Quality, Production, Procurement and Commercial teams on projects aimed at improving products, processes, costs and operational capabilities.
- Participate in new-product and business-development initiatives requiring technical and sourcing inputs.
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes.
- Assist in formulation and process development for products such as sauces, chutneys, jams, spreads, and other processed food products.
- Participate in laboratory and plant trials and support the transition of successful formulations to commercial production.

Skills & Experience

- Strong understanding of food ingredients and food-processing technologies.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in strategic sourcing/procurement and supplier development.
- Ability to evaluate raw materials from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Understanding of product formulation and process development.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Good commercial and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across R&D;, Quality, Production, and Commercial functions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with food regulatory requirements and technical documentation would be an advantage.

Education An advanced degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred:

- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Microbiology
- Biochemistry

Prior experience in food ingredients, sauces and condiments, fruit & vegetable processing, or related verticals will be strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
