About the Opportunity micro1 is selecting Subject Matter Experts in Financial & Operations Chart Analysis to support a customer project focused on advanced chart interpretation and quantitative reasoning. In this role, you will apply real-world expertise in finance, economics, business analytics, and operations to create high-quality tasks that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required—your domain knowledge is what matters.

Responsibilities

- Interpret complex financial and operational charts, including candlestick charts, yield curves, drawdown charts, market-volume charts, control charts, Pareto charts, process flows, and capacity/throughput charts.
- Apply advanced domain knowledge and precise financial, economic, and operational terminology when analyzing visualizations.
- Design transparent, objective questions that require multi-step quantitative reasoning and analysis.
- Develop tasks involving graphical reasoning, comparisons, trend analysis, calculations, and interpolation.
- Provide precise, unambiguous answers supported by comprehensive written explanations and explicit analytical steps.
- Accurately reference units, scales, axes, legends, categories, timeframes, and notation.
- Ensure analytical questions remain objective, verifiable, and free from subjective or ambiguous language.
- Review tasks and solutions for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and domain-specific correctness.




- Collaborate remotely with project teams through written and verbal communication.
- Incorporate project feedback while maintaining reliable and consistent contributions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional, academic, or research experience involving financial market data, risk metrics, or operational performance charts.
- Strong ability to accurately interpret complex financial and operational visualizations.
- Advanced understanding of chart features including axes, units, legends, scales, and annotations.
- Strong multi-step quantitative reasoning and analytical skills.
- Ability to construct clear, exact, and objectively answerable questions.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and domain-specific terminology precision.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced proficiency in interpreting diverse financial and operational chart types.
- Experience with financial reporting, market analysis, risk assessment, process assessment,



or operational performance analysis.
- Experience creating technical documentation or structured analytical tasks.
- Experience developing benchmark questions, data-annotation tasks, or analytical deliverables.
- Background in finance, economics, operations, business analytics, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Experience working with complex visualizations containing multiple variables, annotations, or statistical features.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language relevant to the financial or operational domain.
- Experience collaborating with technical, research, or AI-focused teams.

Compensation
