Company Description

Finforeca is a finance technology and services company focused on simplifying financial decision-making through Enterprise Finance AI and curated Finance Shared Services. The organization supports finance teams with strategic solutions such as Fractional CFO, FP&A;, F&A;, M&A;, and Finance Business Partnering, backed by modern digital capabilities. A key offering is its Corporate Cash Flow Planning Platform, designed to improve clarity, agility, and forecasting for corporate liquidity.

Finforeca’s mission is to revolutionize enterprise finance with technology-led solutions that align strategy, enhance visibility, and strengthen financial operations. With global, cross-industry experience, the company enables clients to modernize finance functions, improve cash planning, and drive data-informed decisions.

Role Description The Finance Shared Services Specialist is a full-time remote role that supports core finance and accounting operations within Finforeca's shared services model: processing and reconciling financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and preparing and reviewing financial statements for US clients.

You will own the day-to-day books and month-end close for a portfolio of multiple US clients. That means the accounting is accurate, on time, US GAAP compliant and documented well enough that a fractional CFO, an auditor or an investor can rely on it without re-performing it. You will work inside each client's own accounting stack (mostly NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Xero and Acumatica), follow Finforeca's close checklists and controls, and escalate judgement calls to the CFO with a recommended answer rather than an open question.

Day to day, this also means validating data in finance systems, supporting month-end and year-end close, responding to finance-related queries, documenting procedures, adhering to compliance standards,

and using digital tools to improve efficiency and visibility across finance operations.

What you will do

- Accounts payable and receivable: process vendor bills, approvals and payment runs in whichever AP workflow and accounting system the client uses; issue invoices, apply cash and run collections; maintain vendor and customer masters; track DSO, DPO and CEI.
- Month-end close: bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals and prepaids, fixed assets and depreciation, intercompany, payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules; deliver the close package within the agreed number of business days.
- Technical accounting schedules: revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred contract costs (ASC 340-40), fixed assets (ASC 360) and inventory (ASC 330) where a client's business requires them, following the policy set by the CFO.
- Cash, payroll and compliance: maintain the weekly cash position for the 13-week cash forecast; support US payroll processing on the client's payroll platform; prepare schedules for indirect tax filings, information returns, audits and tax return preparation by the client's external accountants.
- Process and controls: document procedures for every recurring task; validate data flowing into client finance systems; respond to finance queries from client teams; support system implementations, module rollouts and migrations; identify automation opportunities and work with Finforeca's AI-assisted delivery tooling as it is introduced.

What you bring

- 4 to 7 years in accounting or finance operations,

with at least 2 years on US client books in a KPO, outsourced accounting firm, shared services centre or US-headquartered company from India.
- Hands-on experience in at least two of NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Xero and Acumatica; Sage Intacct, Ramp.com or Bill.com experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP: accruals, revenue recognition basics, fixed assets, prepaids and deferrals.
- Strong Excel: lookups, pivots, reconciliations that tie out, clean schedules that someone else can follow.
- B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA or ACCA (or equivalent); a completed CA or CPA is welcome but not required.
- Explicit written English, comfortable on video calls with US clients, and a habit of closing loops and documenting as you go.
- Experience using AI tools to build financial statements, schedules, reconciliations and analysis in Excel or Google Sheets, and to produce related presentations or browser-based visualizations, is a plus.
- Able to work an India-day schedule that extends to 10 to 11 PM IST on most days to overlap with US mornings.

What we offer

- Competitive compensation: fixed CTC plus an annual performance bonus.
- Fully remote, anywhere in India. Company-provided laptop, health insurance, PF and gratuity.
- Direct exposure to US finance: CFO-level review, multiple industries and accounting stacks, audits and fundraising cycles.
- Small team with direct access to the founder, and a path into Finance Shared Services Lead as the bench grows.

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn and attach your CV; applications reach our hiring team directly. In your CV or a short cover note, tell us about the US client books you have run: systems used, close timelines you held, and the most complex reconciliation or accounting issue you resolved. Shortlisted candidates will be asked for a brief practical exercise before interviews.
