Role Description The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and aesthetics throughout the retreat. This full-time, on-site role in Pune District includes managing housekeeping and laundry teams, scheduling staff, and ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet established quality and safety standards.

The Executive

Housekeeper coordinates inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and linens, implements and monitors cleaning procedures, and ensures adherence to hygiene and environmental guidelines. The role also involves training and mentoring team members, handling guest requests and feedback related to housekeeping services,



and collaborating with other departments to support a seamless, guest-centric experience aligned with Dharana at Shillim’s wellbeing ethos.

Qualifications

- Solid organization skills to manage housekeeping operations, staffing schedules, inventory, and quality control processes.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, management, and guests, including explicit reporting and feedback.
- Customer service skills to respond to guest needs, resolve issues promptly, and uphold a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Experience in overseeing laundry operations, including linen management, quality checks, and equipment maintenance.
- Training skills to develop, coach, and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to standards.
- Prior leadership experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations, preferably in a resort, retreat, or luxury property.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and environmental best practices, with attention to detail and a focus on sustainability.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune District, with flexibility to manage operational demands, weekends, and peak seasons.
- Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is beneficial.
