:Fleet Executive – Job Responsibilities A Route Planning Executive is responsible for planning and optimizing vehicle routes to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan daily vehicle routes for linehaul, mid-mile, and last-mile operations.
- Optimize routes based on delivery timelines, distance, vehicle capacity, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with transporters, hubs, warehouses, and operations teams for smooth vehicle movement.
- Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time dispatch and delivery.
- Track delays, traffic issues, no-entry restrictions, and operational bottlenecks.
- Arrange backup vehicles or alternate routing during operational disruptions.
- Ensure maximum vehicle utilization and reduce empty runs.
- Analyze shipment volume and plan vehicle requirements accordingly.
- Maintain trip sheets, route plans, transit reports, and operational MIS.
- Monitor fuel efficiency, toll costs, and transit performance.




- Communicate with drivers and transport partners regarding route adherence.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety norms.
- Support escalation handling for delayed or stuck shipments.
- Coordinate with finance and billing teams for transporter documentation and payouts.
- Work on continuous improvement to reduce transit time and logistics costs.
