Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Telecom to lead and oversee our end-to-end telecom infrastructure operations from our Gurugram headquarters. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing large-scale projects across Active Infrastructure, Passive Infrastructure, and Optical Fiber Cables (OFC). You will drive project governance, ensure timely delivery, manage high-value client relationships, and lead cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Project Execution: Lead the planning, rollout, and operation of multi-site telecom infrastructure projects covering active components (BTS, microwave links, RAN), passive structures (towers, power, shelters), and fiber networks (FTTH, intercity, intracity OFC routes).
- Project Governance & Management: Define project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor KPIs, manage critical path risks, and ensure delivery within strict SLAs and safety standard frameworks.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary senior liaison for telecom operators, enterprise clients, government regulatory bodies, and vendors. Deliver regular executive updates and manage contract negotiations.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Oversight:



Direct turnkey contractors, equipment original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and field deployment partners to ensure quality control, material optimization, and budget compliance.
- Team Leadership & Communication: Inspire and manage a multi-disciplinary team of project managers, site engineers, and field technicians. Foster a collaborative environment with clear internal reporting and strong external communication.
- Process & Cost Optimization: Drive operational efficiency, identify cost-reduction opportunities across site acquisition, civil works, and fiber laying, and ensure compliance with DISCOM/telecom regulatory standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 12–16 years of core technical and operational experience in telecom infrastructure rollout and operations, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
- Technical Domain Expertise: Hands-on operational and project expertise across all three pillars: Active Infrastructure, Passive Infrastructure, and Fiber Networks (OFC).
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering. An MBA or PMP certification is strongly preferred.
- Location: Based in or willing to work full-time out of Gurugram, Haryana, with readiness for strategic travel.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills combined with rigorous, data-driven project management capabilities.
