Company Description: Nrityadhee Dance Academy is a Kathak institute based in Jaipur, Chennai and Mumbai, offering structured classical dance training to students in India and abroad through both in-person and online classes. Founded in 2021 by Surbhi Verma and Priyasha Jain, the academy follows a carefully sequenced curriculum rooted in traditional Kathak while adapted to contemporary learning needs. Students can prepare for formal examinations through Sangeet Ashram, the examination centre for Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, enabling them to train against a recognized syllabus and earn formal certification.

Teaching covers the full grammar of Kathak, including rhythm, footwork, chakkars, hand movements, and expressive storytelling, with centres in Jaipur, Chennai, and Mumbai. Nrityadhee works with learners at all levels, educational institutions, and organizations seeking performances, workshops, and cultural programming.

Role Description The Dance Academy Business Development Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, OMR. This role involves identifying and reaching out to potential students, schools, and partner organizations, helping expand the academy’s presence in Chennai and other cities. The intern will support the design and execution of outreach campaigns,



manage inquiries, maintain contact databases, and assist in creating proposals for workshops, performances, and institutional partnerships.

Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with the teaching team on schedules, helping plan events and showcases, supporting social media and basic marketing activities, and preparing simple reports on lead generation and conversions. The role offers exposure to the business side of a classical dance academy while working closely with the founders and core team.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Dance Education and Dance Instruction, with an understanding of structured learning paths in classical dance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Dance and Choreography, with the ability to engage with repertoire, performances, and workshop formats.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Music, especially rhythm and basic concepts relevant to Kathak and Indian classical forms.
