CAD Engineer

As a CAD Engineer you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and models. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, you will bring concepts to life by developing detailed plans, schematics, and blueprints. To ensure success, you will develop a deep understanding of engineering principles, materials, and processes, to ensure designs meet the customer criteria.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

- Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software to represent designs accurately.
- Create technical drawings, schematics, and detailed blueprints for engineering or manufacturing purposes.
- Work closely with engineering staff and customers to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate to refine designs and ensure feasibility.
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications, as well as relevant codes, standards and safety
- Identify design issues, propose effective solutions and revise designs based on feedback or changes in project requirements.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (essential).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD engineer or similar role (essential).
- Professional certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Proven track record of developing detailed designs for engineering or manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or similar.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials,



and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for drafting and modelling.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.
- Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software is advantageous
