The Core Applications Software Developer will join USGI Core, MIS & Automation department to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of mission‑critical systems. You will provide production support, manage deployments and versioning, and handle data request and portability uploads while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to automate processes and enhance application performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 production support for core applications
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents promptly
- Plan, execute, and document application deployments
- Manage version control and release cycles
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Process internal and external data requests
- Perform data portability uploads and migrations
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in .NET, Java, or similar enterprise languages
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools
- Solid knowledge of Git or other version control systems
- Solid debugging and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with SQL databases and data manipulation
- Familiarity with data portability standards and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
