Job role: Asst. General Manager

Department: Operations The assistant general manager of a lodging property has a major responsibility for developing and executing plans developed by the corporate owners, the general manager, and other members of the management staff. The relationship between the general manager and the assistant general manager must be founded on trust, skill, and excellent communication. The assistant general manager works with department directors to meet their respective goals and objectives through efficient operations.

Often, he or she is the liaison between management and operations. He or she is responsible for the entire front office operation, which includes front desk, housekeeping, bell staff, concierge, and parking garage. The assistant general manager is everywhere on the property, checking on operations, providing feedback, and offering assistance as needed.

This job requires a wide variety of established operational skills, such as front office, food and beverage, marketing and sales, and accounting skills.

Job Responsibilities:

● Ensure smooth functioning of the FDO by monitoring it on a day to day basis (CI/CO, PMS, Scheduling, Briefings, C-Forms, Guest registrations, etc.)

● Ensure smooth functioning of the F&B; and Ancillary services





● Ensure the quality of services rendered to customers meet the company’s prescribed SOPs

● Supervise financial monitoring of all aspects in sync with GM as per company-defined budgeting guidelines

● Coordinate with teams in HO such as finance, reservation, and CX teams to ensure swift and smooth workflow

● Ensure upselling and cross-selling of the company’s various products and services

● Deliver the highest standards of customer experience and handle guest escalations/grievances (without involving the GM unless absolutely required)

● Coordinate with his/her GO team (everyone in all departments except the GM) regularly for better productivity & motivation and ensure they are well-groomed, spoken, and behaved

● Ensure all 5 senses for a top-notch (vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste) experience are maintained at all times.

Requirements and Skills:

● Educational background: Hospitality graduate or Diploma in Hospitality

● Extensive operational knowledge of hotel operations

● Outstanding communication, interpersonal & time-management skills.

● Location Adaptable
