Role Description The Assistant Service Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Madurai, responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the service department for construction and material handling equipment. This role includes supervising service technicians, planning and scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring timely resolution of customer service requests.

Manager monitors service quality, coordinates with spare parts and logistics teams, and maintains service records and documentation.



The role also involves communicating with customers on service status, managing warranty and post-service follow-up, and supporting continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction within the workshop and field service operations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in service operations, workshop supervision, and maintenance planning for construction and material handling equipment.
- Experience in customer service, complaint resolution, and relationship management with industrial and commercial clients.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including technicians, parts, and logistics, and to manage schedules and workloads.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, service documentation, and use of service management or ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, quality control practices, and compliance in equipment servicing environments.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or related Engineering discipline; relevant experience in equipment or automotive service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and collaborate effectively on-site.
- Willingness to work on-site in Madurai and, when required, visit customer locations for service coordination.
