- Support implementation and maintain PATROM norms (road safety norms) at of heavy goods vehicles.
n
- Various transport audit coordination for the company and transporter followed by gap analysis, and action plan monitoring.
n
- Support as transport safety fleet manager in establishing the PATROM worthy fleet with timely completion of induction, vetting and safety checks as per business needs
n
- Conduct periodic/surprise vehicle inspections and participate in accident/incident investigations and RCA.
n
- Drive zero-accident culture across fleet operations
n
- Coordinate for policy deployment and system harmonization across all vendor bases (transportation and other vendors)
n
- Ensure routine up-keep and regular maintenance of company deployed safety equipment (OBC, IVMS, TX Trailer, etc).

- KIP monitoring

nActivities:

n1. Fleet Management

nManage vehicle induction, acceptance, and commissioning process.

nMonitor fleet roadworthiness, vehicle compliance, and statutory certifications.

nConduct vehicle vetting and Safe-to-Load compliance checks.

nMaintain and communicate approved vehicle lists.

nEnsure fleet availability to meet operational requirements.

n2. Safety & Compliance

nEnsure compliance with PATROM, company standards, and local regulations.

nConduct periodic and surprise vehicle inspections.

nParticipate in accident/incident investigations and RCA.





nImplement corrective and preventive actions.

nDrive zero-accident culture across fleet operations.

n

n3. Transporter Management

nCoordinate with transporters on fleet compliance and performance.

nConduct transporter reviews and improvement meetings.

nValidate adherence to vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules.

nSupport transporter audits and action-plan closure.

n

n4. KPI & Performance Management

nMonitor transportation KPIs.

nTrack fleet utilization, breakdowns, compliance, and safety performance.

nPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports.

nIdentify cost-saving and fleet optimization opportunities.

nQualifications: Graduate in Engineering Engineering/Science background, 5-10 years' experience in fleet/logistics operations. Preference from Oil and Gas industry, hazardous cargo, chemical industry.

nSkill Sets required: Analytical ability, Positive interpersonal and communication abilities, Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint, Customer service-driven attitude. Good ability to manage work under high pressure.

nExperience : Knowledge of transport regulations, fleet safety systems, Transport digital instrument, Logistics industry & its key trends.

nLocation : Mangalore.
