Job Responsibilities:
Evaluating patients medical histories and current health to determine their suitability for bone marrow transplants
Diagnosing blood-related Maligt non-Maligt disorders such as anaemiaSevere aplastic anaemiaBone marrow failure syndromeleukemia (acute and chronic) Lymphoma Myeloma and other haematological maligcies.
Explaining the risksbenefits and procedure of a bone marrow transplant to patients and their families and consenting. Putting Hickman (tunnelled line) line or any central line in the patients.
Bone marrow aspiration and Intrathecal chemotherapy.
Administering specialized therapiessuch as blood transfusions and bone marrow transplants
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized care plan for each patient
Performing bone marrow transplants and follow-up careincluding monitoring patients for complications and managing any adverse effects
Conducting research to improve bone marrow transplant outcomes and contribute to the wider medical understanding of blood diseases




Staying informed about the latest advancements in bone marrow transplant and haematological care
Collaborating with haematologistsoncologistsand other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintaining detailed medical records and communicating patient progress to other healthcare specialists involved in the patient s care.
Providing regular check-ups and follow-up care for patients with blood disorders.
Educating patients and their families about post-transplant careincluding medicationsdietand lifestyle modifications
Participating in ethical discussions related to donor selection and consentallocation of resourcesand end-of-life care for transplant patients.
Administrative and Clinical head of the department of BMT Haematology.
