Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase to lead procurement activities for our project and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in procurement, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and supply chain coordination within engineering, manufacturing, EPC, or project-based organizations. The role requires expertise in SAP, procurement planning, and close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for project execution and factory operations.
Source, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize suppliers for raw materials, equipment, services, and project requirements.
Float RFQs, analyze quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize vendors based on commercial and technical evaluations.




Issue Purchase Orders and monitor order execution, delivery schedules, and vendor commitments.
Coordinate with Stores, Factory, Project Teams, Vendors, Accounts, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
Maintain procurement records, purchase documentation, and MIS reports through SAP (MM Module preferred).
Handle commercial aspects of procurement, including pricing, payment terms, contracts, and supplier negotiations.
Coordinate with banks and finance teams for Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and other trade finance instruments.
Monitor vendor performance and develop long-term supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and project timelines.
Support procurement planning, budgeting, and cost optimization initiatives.
Resolve procurement-related issues and ensure timely closure of purchase transactions.
