We are looking for a disciplined and detail-oriented Infection Control Nurse responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention practices across the hospital. This role is critical in reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and ensuring compliance with clinical safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and protocols
Conduct regular infection surveillance and report trends (HAIs, SSI, CLABSI, etc.)
Monitor adherence to hand hygiene and aseptic techniques
Perform audits of clinical areas and recommend corrective actions
Train healthcare staff on infection control practices
Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend containment strategies
Ensure compliance with NABH standards
Coordinate with microbiology lab for culture reports and antibiotic stewardship
Maintain infection control records, reports, and documentation
Requirements
BSc Nursing / GNM with valid Kerala Nursing Council registration
Certification in Infection Control (preferred )
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience (ICU experience strongly preferred)
Prior experience in infection control or quality department is a big advantage
Robust knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and biomedical waste management
