We’re looking for a responsible, energetic and polite person to join our team and help us run events at Island D Cochin.

JOB ROLE

Event & Venue Assistant

You will work closely with our team during events and help with the overall operation and maintenance of the island venue.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Assist with setting up and running events
Welcome and assist guests throughout the event
Make sure guests are comfortable and receive proper assistance
Help with event equipment, furniture and general arrangements
Keep the venue clean, organised and presentable
Handle basic maintenance and ensure issues are taken care of
Help with preparations before and after events
Assist with other tasks required to keep the venue running smoothly

SALARY & BENEFITS

Starting Salary: ₹18,000/month
Performance-based salary increments
Bonus for successfully conducted events and good guest reviews
Extra payment for additional hours when events run beyond regular working hours

WORKING HOURS

Regular timing: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Events can sometimes continue until late at night, so you must be willing to stay back when required. Additional hours will be paid separately.

1 day off every week, with the weekly off decided based on the event/booking schedule.





Weekend availability is essential, as weekends are our busiest days.

EXPERIENCE

Experience is NOT required.

We are looking for someone who:

Is responsible and hardworking
Can work independently when required
Is comfortable working in a rapid-paced event environment

SIGNIFICANT

Island D Cochin is a private island venue, so the job involves travelling to and from the island by boat.

MOST IMPORTANT

You will be dealing directly with our guests.

You must be extremely polite, respectful, friendly and helpful at all times.

Good guest experience is one of our highest priorities.

TRIAL PERIOD

A trial will be conducted during an actual event.

The position will only be confirmed after successfully completing the trial and demonstrating that you are suitable for the role.
