Job Description for Vendor Development
Identifying potential suppliers, Initial Assessment & periodic evaluation of supplier.
Selecting supplier base to acquire best quality and cost of use of recent suppliers or working with

current suppliers,
Responsible for purchase activities.
Maintain document filling.
Procure purchase requisition items.
Conversion of purchase request to purchase order.
Arrange quotation to release purchase order.
Material follow-up with suppliers to meet target.
Negotiation with supplier.
Co-ordination with production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Quality, Store &Account; Depart.

Required Skills
Good knowledge of vendor development and supplier management.
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC/VMC machining, fabrication, casting, Plastic and sheet metal.




Experience in RFQ, cost negotiation and should-cost analysis.
Solid negotiation, communication and vendor-handling skills.
Valuable knowledge of MS Excel .
Willingness to travel for supplier visits.

Qualification

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering.

Preferred Candidate
Experience in automotive or engineering manufacturing.
Candidates with an existing supplier network in Gurugram/Manesar, Bawal, Dharuhera, Faridabad and NCR will be preferred.
Strong experience in developing new vendors and reducing procurement cost.
