Role & responsibilities
Manage relationships with banks and correspondent banks.
Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners regarding remittance transactions and operational matters.
Ensure smooth onboarding of recent banking and correspondent partners.
Make sure all partner documents (KYC, agreements, forms) are complete and up to date.
Coordinate with Compliance, Operations, and Finance teams to address partner requirements.
Maintain records of agreements, fee schedules, banking details, and partner documentation.
Support implementation of local bank transfer collections, wire collections, and alternative payment methods.
Coordinate with banks to establish collection accounts across multiple jurisdictions.
Track and follow up on any payment issues, rejections, or delays with the correspondent partner until they are resolved.
Keep records of all partner communication, agreements, and key dates.
Share regular updates with team on partner activity and any risks.
Support expansion of payment corridors and local clearing capabilities across various countries.
Support implementation of multi-currency collection and payment solutions.
Conduct regular reviews and meetings with banking partners to discuss performance and prospects for improvement.
Preferred candidate profile
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Commerce, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in banking, payments, fintech, foreign exchange, or remittance operations.
• Knowledge of international payment systems, cross-border remittances, and banking processes.
• Understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
