Role & responsibilities
Mandatory Skills
COBOL Programs & ZOS: Solid understanding of COBOL Programs (working storage, copy books & sub routines) and ZOS concepts including mainframe utilities. Hands on knowledge on Restartable programs.
CICS Hands on with writing CICS programs in linkage with Front End Systems, Testing these programs and T’shoot any issues.
Note – Core CICS knowledge to build screens is NOT needed.
DB2 (SQL): Solid understanding of relational database concepts and advanced SQL, including SQL Error Codes
Job Control Language (JCL) - IN Stream & Catalogue Procedures, Control Cards, SDFS (Spool), SPICE, SAR & MVS JCL Utilities
TSO, ISPF – Hands on Knowledge
Hands on Knowledge on REXX, EZYTRIEVE & SELCOPY
Tools – Endevor, File Manager, Road Runner, Fault Analyser, R2DS, RDz, RTC, SONAR, Jenkins
