Role & responsibilities
Manage manpower planning as per the company's workforce requirements and business plan.
Ensure timely recruitment and selection of candidates with the required skills, within defined cost and process guidelines.
Manage employee induction and onboarding activities systematically.
Monitor employee/operator/trainee attendance and manpower costs to ensure optimum workforce utilization.
Track manpower numbers and costs against approved budgets.
Implement and monitor the Performance Management System (PMS), including goal setting and appraisals.
Ensure timely completion of appraisals for staff, workers and trainees as per the development plan.
Prepare and implement the annual Training & Development (E&T;) plan within budgeted training hours and costs.
Drive employee development initiatives, including:
Talent/Employee Involvement (TEI)
Goal Setting & PMS
Succession Planning
Job Rotation & Multiskilling
Outstanding Place to Work initiatives
Stay Interviews & Exit Interviews
Ensure compliance with the plant's annual safety plan and promote a solid safety culture.
Define, document and periodically update Job Descriptions (JDs) for key roles based on changing business requirements.
Support overall Human Resource Development initiatives in line with organizational objectives.
Handle HR & Admin activities at plant/location level.
Handle ASA-related activities as required.
Candidate Profile
715 years of experience in core HR / HR Operations / HR & Admin.
Candidates with experience handling the complete HR gamut are preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing organization / plant workplace is preferred.
Robust exposure to manpower planning, recruitment, attendance, PMS, training, employee development and safety.
Good understanding of HR processes and plant-level HR operations.
MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
