Key Responsibilities
Plan, and oversee fabrication of heavy machinery components, Transformer Tanks and Pressure vessels, and industrial equipment.
Develop and review engineering drawings, process sheets, and fabrication standards.
Supervise shop-floor operations including welding, cutting, bending, and fabrication of large parts.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (ISO, ASME, AWS), and client specifications.
Collaborate with design, planning, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to reduce cycle time and costs.
Conduct inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and quality audits of fabricated components.
Manage vendor coordination for outsourced fabrication.
Train and mentor technicians and operators in advanced fabrication techniques.

ualifications
Diploma / Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.




3+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing or large-scale fabrication.
Solid knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, MIG, TIG, SAW), machining, and sheet/plate metal fabrication.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
Familiarity with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, heavy machinery, or structural steel.
Knowledge of CNC programming and automation in heavy fabrication.
Exposure to project management and resource planning.
Ability to manage large teams and coordinate across multiple departments.
Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
NDT qualifications would be an added advantage.
