About the RoleWe are looking for a 3D Design Engineer – Mechanical with a robust mechanical engineering background to design and develop CNC Laser Cutting Machines, CNC Shearing Machines and CNC Press Brake Machines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop 3D models, assemblies and mechanical components for CNC machines.
Design machine frames, structures, assemblies, guards, brackets, tables and other mechanical components.
Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing/fabrication drawings with dimensions, tolerances, materials and welding details.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, part drawings and assembly drawings.
Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, Machine Shop, Purchase, Quality, Electrical and Assembly teams.
Ensure designs are manufacturing-friendly, cost-effective and easy to assemble.
Modify and improve existing machine designs based on production, service and customer feedback.
Support prototype development,
machine assembly and shop-floor design corrections.
Work on design standardization, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
Maintain proper CAD files, drawing revisions and design documentation.
Candidate Profile
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in 3D mechanical design of industrial machinery / CNC machines will be preferred.
Robust knowledge of 3D CAD modelling and assemblies.
Experience with SolidWorks / Solid Edge / Creo / Inventor / AutoCAD or equivalent.
Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Positive problem-solving and coordination skills.
