We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader to head the maintenance and reliability function at our Kolkata Container Terminal, handling ~40,000 TEU per month. The terminal operates 4 Liebherr Diesel Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHCs), 2 Electric Italguru RTGs, 3 Noell RTGCs, and Broma spreaders.

Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering operations, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability of MHCs, RTGs, RTGCs, and spreaders.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Manage engineering teams, contractors, and OEM service providers.
Oversee spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor management.
Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.




Report KPIs on equipment availability, MTTR, and maintenance costs to senior management.
Carry out RCA for failures and incidents.

Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
12+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles at ports/container terminals.
Robust knowledge of Liebherr MHCs, RTGs (Italguru, Noell), and Broma spreader systems.
Proven track record in reliability engineering, SAP PMS/MM modules, and maintenance planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
