Job Title: Retention Executive

Location: SLBS Marklance, Vyttila, Kochi

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

About the Role

SLBS Marklance is looking for a Retention Executive to connect with students who have discontinued or stopped attending their courses after admission.

The role involves understanding the reasons for student drop-off, addressing their concerns, building trust, and convincing and inspiring students to continue and complete their course.

Key Responsibilities
Contact students who have discontinued, become inactive, or stopped attending classes after admission.
Understand the reasons behind their discontinuation, such as personal issues, financial concerns, time constraints, lack of interest, or other challenges.
Communicate with students professionally and build a positive relationship with them.
Address student concerns and provide suitable solutions in coordination with the concerned teams.
Persuade and motivate students to resume their course and continue their learning journey.
Follow up consistently with inactive and dropped-out students through calls and WhatsApp.
Maintain proper records of student interactions, follow-ups, concerns, and outcomes.
Coordinate with academic, operations,



and management teams to resolve student issues.
Develop effective follow-up strategies to improve student retention and course continuation.
Meet monthly targets related to student reactivation and retention.
Track and report the status of inactive and reactivated students.

Requirements
1–3 years of experience in student retention, telecalling, counselling, customer relationship management, or sales.
Excellent communication and convincing skills.
Solid follow-up and negotiation abilities.
Ability to handle objections and difficult conversations professionally.
Patient, empathetic, and target-oriented approach.
Ability to influence and motivate students to make informed decisions about continuing their course.
Experience in the education/EdTech industry will be an added advantage.
