About The Role

You will join the client's Customer Data Platform (CDP) team as a Data Engineer, supporting the development and maintenance of data pipelines on Treasure Data / Treasure AI with guidance from senior engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include building and validating pipeline logic, troubleshooting issues at first level, and helping enforce PII tagging and data quality controls across a platform serving dozens of brands in over one hundred markets worldwide. This role is intentionally designed as a growth opportunity, ideal for candidates with solid engineering fundamentals in Python, SQL, and Java, who are eager to learn more about enterprise-scale customer data engineering, CDP ecosystems, Azure cloud services, and the broader MarTech landscape. This position offers a unique chance to develop expertise within an established,



well-supported team, gaining valuable experience in managing complex data pipelines and contributing to a global marketing technology infrastructure.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 2–3 years of experience in data engineering, backend development, or a related field, including internships and relevant projects. Robust working knowledge of Python and SQL is essential, along with entry-level experience with Java. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub, as well as CI/CD workflows, is required. The candidate should demonstrate a proactive, learning-oriented attitude and be comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary to communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines in Treasure Data under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Contribute to testing, data validation, and first-level troubleshooting of data pipelines to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Assist in implementing and verifying PII tagging and other data quality controls to maintain compliance and data integrity.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks to facilitate team knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
- Participate in developing and refining the team's standardized local development tooling to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Actively learn and develop expertise in the CDP domain, Azure cloud platform, Java programming,



and the broader MarTech ecosystem to support ongoing project needs and personal growth.

Benefits

This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setup, enabling you to work from anywhere within the specified time zone. The position is aligned with the UTC+1 (CET/CEST) timezone, with a minimum of six hours of daily overlap with the team's working hours, typically starting around 9:00 AM CET. The contract is for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal based on business needs and performance. This is a full-time engagement requiring 40 hours per week, structured as an independent contractor position through Andela. You will be provided with a client-provisioned laptop, essential for handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) securely and efficiently.
