Social Media Manager — Strategy & Content
Location: Mohali
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: 2–5 Years
Preferred Background: Digital/creative/marketing agency experience
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, strategic, and results-driven Social Media Manager who can take ownership of social media strategy and execution for Beast Branders and multiple client accounts.
This is not a role focused simply on preparing content calendars and publishing posts.
We are looking for someone who understands brands, audiences, content, trends, storytelling and platform behaviour — and can turn that understanding into social media strategies that generate attention, engagement and measurable growth.
You will work closely with designers, video editors and the wider marketing team to take content from strategy → idea → execution → publishing → analysis → improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy
- Develop social media strategies for Beast Branders and assigned client accounts.
- Understand each client's business, positioning, audience, objectives and competitors before developing content.
- Build monthly and weekly content plans, content pillars and campaign ideas.
- Recommend the right platforms, formats and content approach for each brand.
- Adapt strategy and communication according to different industries and audiences.
- Continuously improve strategies based on performance, platform changes and audience behaviour.
2. Content Strategy & Creative Ideation
- Develop original concepts for Reels, carousels, static posts, stories and social campaigns.
- Create strong hooks, content angles, captions, CTAs and basic scripts.
- Turn business ideas, industry insights and trends into engaging social-first content.
- Identify relevant trends, conversations, formats and cultural moments that brands can participate in.
- Maintain each client's individual brand voice, positioning and visual direction.
- Avoid blindly following trends; recommend ideas that make sense for the brand and its audience.
3. Multi-Client Account Management
- Manage multiple client social media accounts simultaneously.
- Maintain separate strategies, calendars, brand voices and objectives for each account.
- Ensure planned content is produced, approved and published on schedule.
- Participate in client discussions when required.
- Present content ideas, campaign concepts and performance insights clearly.
- Translate client requirements and feedback into actionable briefs for the creative team.
- Manage priorities and deadlines across multiple accounts without compromising content quality.
4. Creative Team Coordination
- Work closely with graphic designers, video editors and other creative team members.
- Prepare clear briefs explaining the concept, message, references, format and expected outcome.
- Guide the creative team on what needs to be communicated rather than simply requesting a design or Reel.
- Plan short-form video content including concepts, hooks, scripts, shot requirements and references.
- Coordinate shoots and content production when required.
- Review creative output for brand consistency, communication quality and social-media suitability before publishing.
5. Social-First Video Content
- Understand what makes Reels and short-form videos engaging, watchable and shareable.
- Develop video concepts, hooks and scripts.
- Direct or coordinate basic social-media shoots when required.
- Be comfortable capturing simple smartphone content when necessary.
- Understanding framing, lighting, audio and basic content production is expected.
- Comfort appearing occasionally in social content is an advantage, but not mandatory.
«Professional video production and advanced video editing are not primary responsibilities of this role.»
6. Platform Management & Community
Manage relevant social platforms according to each client's requirements, with primary focus on:
YouTube, X/Twitter and other platforms may be used where strategically relevant.
Responsibilities include:
- Publishing and scheduling approved content.
- Monitoring comments, messages, mentions and audience interactions.
- Maintaining appropriate brand tone while responding to audiences.
- Monitoring competitor activity and relevant industry conversations.
- Identifying opportunities for meaningful audience engagement and community building.
- Escalating sensitive customer or reputation-related issues when necessary.
7. Performance & Growth
- Regularly review social media performance across assigned accounts.
- Track relevant metrics including reach, engagement, views, watch time, saves, shares, follower growth, enquiries and conversions where applicable.
- Identify which topics, hooks, formats and campaigns are performing.
- Explain why certain content performed or underperformed.
- Prepare concise performance reports with insights and recommendations.
- Use performance data to improve future content and strategy.
- Test new concepts and formats and build on successful patterns.
Success in this role will be measured by content quality, audience engagement, account growth and business impact — not simply by the number of posts published.
8. Research & Social Listening
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, platform updates and emerging content formats.
- Study what audiences are discussing and engaging with.
- Identify timely opportunities for client brands.
- Bring new ideas proactively instead of waiting for content instructions.
- Keep assigned brands culturally and digitally relevant without compromising their positioning.
9. Paid Social Collaboration
The Social Media Manager is not expected to independently manage performance advertising campaigns.
However, you should:
- Understand the fundamentals of paid social media.
- Work with the performance marketing team to develop suitable campaign creatives.
- Understand which creatives are performing well in paid campaigns.
- Use those insights to improve future content and creative concepts.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate should:
- Have 2–5 years of hands-on social media experience.
- Preferably have experience working in a digital, creative, branding or marketing agency.
- Have experience managing multiple brands or client accounts simultaneously.
- Think strategically rather than simply executing content calendars.
- Have a strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Understand Reels, short-form content, hooks, storytelling, CTAs and audience psychology.
- Be able to develop original content and campaign ideas.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand how to brief designers and video editors effectively.
- Be comfortable communicating ideas and presenting recommendations.
- Be creative while also being comfortable working with data and performance metrics.
- Have a solid eye for visual quality, brand consistency and content presentation.
- Be proactive, curious and aware of what's happening across social media.
- Be organized and capable of managing multiple clients, priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following is an advantage:
- Canva
- CapCut or similar basic video-editing tools
- Meta Business Suite
- Instagram Insights
- LinkedIn Analytics
- YouTube Studio
- Google Analytics
- Social media scheduling/analytics tools
- Social SEO
- Influencer and creator collaborations
- Paid social media fundamentals
- AI-assisted research, ideation and content workflows
Advanced graphic design or professional video editing skills are not required, as dedicated creative resources will support the role.
What This Role Is Really About
We are looking for someone who can:
Understand the Brand → Understand the Audience → Build the Strategy → Generate Ideas → Guide the Creative Team → Execute → Measure → Improve
You should be someone who asks:
“Why are we creating this content, who is it for, and what do we want it to achieve?”
—not simply:
“What do we need to post today?”
If you enjoy understanding brands, developing ideas, experimenting with content, studying audience behaviour and turning social media into measurable growth, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
