The role

We are looking for a Rust Backend Engineer to help build and scale our core platform. You will work on high-throughput backend services, data infrastructure, and cloud systems that process AI workloads at scale.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain backend services in Rust
- Improve performance, throughput, and reliability of production systems
- Work with distributed data stores including PostgreSQL, Redis, and ClickHouse
- Build and maintain integrations with major cloud AI services
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, and alerting
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in code review and technical design discussions

Required qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Rust for backend development
- 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Experience building AI infrastructure, such as model serving, inference pipelines, routing,



or orchestration systems
- Proven experience designing and scaling high-throughput distributed systems
- Production experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and ClickHouse
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub, and experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization

Preferred qualifications

- Experience with async Rust (Tokio, Axum, Tower)
- Familiarity with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Exposure to gRPC, Kafka, or event-driven architectures
- Experience with ONNX or on-device model inference
- Open-source contributions

Compensation and benefits

- ₹12 to 18 LPA, based on experience
- Equity in the company, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff
- Fully remote within India
- Performance and compensation review at 3 and 6 months
- Direct ownership of core systems and high impact from day one
