Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team in Ahmedabad for a minimum 6-month in-person engagement. This role is heavily centered on end-to-end recruitment support and talent sourcing, paired with foundational office HR operations, employee filing, and records management. You will work directly with the HR team to source qualified talent for national programs while ensuring strict adherence to organizational documentation and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Support (Core Focus)
- Post and manage open job advertisements across job portals (Indeed, LinkedIn, DevNetJobs) and university placement cells.
- Source, screen, and evaluate candidate resumes against specific criteria for roles such as project coordinators, special educators, program officers, and institutional staff.
- Conduct initial telephonic screenings to verify candidate interest,
salary expectations, and basic qualifications.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing all interview logistics and calendar invites.
- Maintain a real-time Recruitment Tracker (updating candidate pipelines, interview feedback, and status logs).
- Handle candidate correspondence, sending application acknowledgments, interview confirmations, and polite status updates.
2. Personnel Filing & Documentation Control
- Collect mandatory joining documentation, identification proofs, and educational credentials from new hires, consultants, and interns.
- Create, audit, and systematically organize physical personnel files in the HR office to ensure audit readiness.
- Maintain digital employee document archives, ensuring structured folder hierarchies and complete data confidentiality.
- Assist with the collection and verification of background check documents and reference checks.
3. Office HR Administration & Operations
- Assist with routine HR operational workflows, including daily attendance tracking, leave records compilation, and travel claim documentation.
- Draft routine HR letters, such as internship offer letters, verification letters, and completion certificates.
- Coordinate the physical day-one onboarding desk setup, welcoming new team members and introducing office policies.
- Provide logistical support for internal staff engagement sessions, team-building events, and training workshops.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree/PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Work (MSW), or a related field.
- Recruitment Focus: Strong interest in talent acquisition, screening profiles, and understanding job descriptions.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail with an aptitude for neat physical file management and digital record-keeping.
- Communication: Explicit verbal and written English communication; working knowledge of Hindi or Gujarati is beneficial for candidate outreach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (spreadsheets, basic formulas, filters) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Forms).
- Availability: Available for a dedicated minimum 6-month in-person commitment at our Ahmedabad office.
