Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer responsible for developing engineering designs, preparing manufacturing drawings, coordinating with production and other departments, and ensuring designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and develop 2D and 3D designs, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Create detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Understand customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and suggest improvements for easy and cost-effective production.
- Develop designs for sheet metal, fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, and machined components.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Purchase, and Stores for design-related requirements.
- Review drawings before releasing them for production.
- Make design modifications based on customer requirements and production feedback.
- Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and welding details are mentioned in drawings.
- Prepare and maintain drawing revisions and engineering documents.
- Support the production team in resolving design and technical issues on the shop floor.
- Review customer drawings and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Prepare BOM, cutting details, and material requirements wherever required.




- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for technical requirements related to fabricated or purchased components.
- Participate in current product development and design improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company design standards and procedures.
- Guide and support Junior Design Engineers in day-to-day design activities.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design and fabrication.
- Good understanding of sheet metal and structural fabrication.
- Knowledge of laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and fabrication processes.
- Good knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA.
- Good knowledge of BOM preparation and drawing revision control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Experience
Experience in fabrication, sheet metal, engineering manufacturing, machine components, or industrial equipment design will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
