Network Infrastructure & Structured Cabling Engineer – FresherJob Summary

We are looking for a fresher / entry-level Network Infrastructure & Structured Cabling Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of physical network infrastructure. The candidate will work with senior engineers on structured cabling, network racks, switches, access points, and basic network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in installation and maintenance of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A network cables.

Assist with RJ45 termination, crimping and punch-down activities.

Support installation, dressing and labeling of patch panels, network racks and cables.

Assist in physical installation and connectivity of network switches, routers and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).

Perform basic cable testing, continuity testing and troubleshooting under senior engineer supervision.

Assist with fiber/copper cable installation and basic testing.

Follow proper cable management, safety and site-work practices.

Assist in identifying and resolving basic physical-layer connectivity issues.

Maintain basic network infrastructure documentation and cable labeling records.

Travel to customer/site locations when required for installation and support.

Required Skills





Basic understanding of computer networking and TCP/IP.

Basic knowledge of LAN, switches, routers and Wi-Fi.

Willingness to learn structured cabling and network infrastructure.

Basic knowledge of tools such as RJ45 crimping tools, punch-down tools and cable testers is an advantage.

Good communication and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work on-site and handle field/network installation activities.

Qualification

Fresher / 0–1 year experience in Networking, IT Infrastructure, Structured Cabling or a related field.

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / ITI in Networking, Computer, IT, Electronics or related field preferred.

CCNA or basic networking certification is an advantage but not mandatory.

Salary

₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month, depending on skills and interview performance.
