Job Purpose

To manage and drive the end-to-end operations of pathology laboratories, collection centres, home collection services, and associated diagnostic facilities across the assigned region.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for operational efficiency, revenue and profitability, service quality, TAT, customer experience, manpower productivity, compliance, cost control, and regional business growth.

Key Responsibilities1. Regional Operations Management

- Manage day-to-day operations across all laboratories and collection centres in the assigned region.
- Ensure smooth coordination between collection centres, laboratories, logistics, reporting, billing, customer service, and support functions.
- Standardize processes and ensure adherence to company SOPs.
- Monitor centre-wise operational performance and take corrective actions.

2. Business & Revenue Management

- Drive regional revenue, test-volume and profitability targets.
- Monitor centre-wise revenue, productivity, margins and operating costs.
- Identify opportunities for increasing test volumes, home collections, corporate business, hospital/clinic tie-ups and new collection centres.
- Prepare action plans for underperforming centres.

3. TAT & Service Quality

- Monitor test-wise and centre-wise Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Ensure timely sample collection, transportation, processing and reporting.
- Reduce sample rejection, repeat collection, delays, complaints and operational errors.
- Improve patient/customer experience and service quality.

4. Manpower & Team Management

- Lead and manage Centre Managers, Lab Managers, Phlebotomists, Technicians, Customer Service and other operations teams.
- Plan manpower requirements according to workload and business growth.
- Monitor employee productivity and attendance.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training requirements.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of operations staff.

5. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable laboratory quality and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure implementation of SOPs,



quality policies, safety protocols and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Quality/NABL team for audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Monitor pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes.
- Ensure proper handling of patient and laboratory data.

6. Laboratory & Infrastructure Management

- Ensure effective utilization of laboratory equipment, manpower and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Biomedical, IT and Administration teams for maintenance and operational requirements.
- Support new laboratory and collection-centre setup projects.
- Ensure operational readiness before launching current centres.

7. Inventory & Vendor Management

- Monitor inventory of reagents, consumables, stationery and other operational materials.
- Control wastage, expiry and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Procurement and vendors for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor vendor performance and service-level compliance.

8. MIS & Performance Monitoring

Prepare and review regular regional MIS covering:

- Revenue and test volumes
- Centre-wise performance
- TAT compliance
- Sample rejection
- Customer complaints
- Manpower productivity
- Home collection performance
- Inventory and wastage
- Operational expenses
- Centre profitability
- Quality and compliance indicators

Present regional performance reviews to senior management with corrective and improvement plans.

9. Cost & Productivity Management

- Control manpower, logistics, consumable and other operational costs.
- Improve laboratory and centre productivity.
- Optimize sample transportation routes and logistics.
- Improve equipment and resource utilization.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and cost optimization.

10. Stakeholder Management

Coordinate effectively with:

- Pathologists
- Laboratory Managers
- Centre Managers
- Sales & Business Development
- HR
- Finance
- Procurement
- IT/LIS
- Quality/NABL
- Logistics
- Vendors
- Hospitals, clinics and corporate clients

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
