1. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Engineer/ Asst Manager to be based at Kakinada. The incumbent will lead and oversee end-to-end engineering execution, cost estimation, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, and project management for commercial/residential buildings, industrial structures, and general civil infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate must possess deep technical knowledge in multi-story RCC framing, structural steel works, site grading, utility infrastructure, quantity surveying, cost control, and contractor management.

2. Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope

* Project Execution & Technical Oversight

– Lead execution planning, technical control, and construction management for high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure developments in Kakinada.

– Supervise site execution for RCC superstructures, deep foundations (pile/raft), structural steel framing, masonry, finishing works, roads, drainage, and external utility networks.

– Review and approve shop drawings, structural designs, method statements, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans.

– Guide site engineering teams in resolving complex site-level structural, civil, and architectural execution challenges.

– Track baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project to ensure timely milestone achievements and critical path management.

* Quantity Surveying,



Cost Estimation & BOQ Management

– Prepare, review, and finalize detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs), Rate Analysis, and Cost Estimates for civil, structural, finishing, and infrastructure packages.

– Perform precision quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, rebar, formwork, structural steel, masonry, flooring, and MEP utility integration.

– Formulate unit rates based on standard rate analysis frameworks (CPWD / DSR / state SOR) accounting for local material costs, labor, and plant/machinery.

– Evaluate, verify, and process subcontractor/vendor BOQs, variation orders, and extra-item claims with rigorous technical and commercial scrutiny.

* Commercial, Cost Control & Contract Management

– Monitor project cost baselines, cash flow management, budget variances, and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

– Drive value engineering strategies to optimize material consumption, structural efficiency, and construction methodologies without compromising quality.

– Coordinate client billing, joint measurements, variation claims, and contractual rate negotiations for extra/non-BOQ items.

* Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

3. Required Qualifications & Technical Competencies

Educational Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Experience: 2 to 5 years of core experience in large-scale Buildings (commercial/residential/industrial) and Infrastructure civil projects.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of RCC building construction, pile foundations, structural steel erection, finishing works, site development, roads, and drainage systems.

BOQ & Cost Estimation: Expert knowledge in BOQ preparation, quantity extraction, rate analysis (CPWD/DSR/state SOR), cost estimation, and variation tracking.
