We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern to join our Business Tax team. The role will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to tax compliance, research, assessments, advisory, and tax controversy management, including litigation support.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the team in tax compliance, assessments and related documentation.
- Conduct tax research on applicable laws, regulations, notifications, circulars and judicial precedents.
- Assist in preparing responses, submissions and documentation for tax assessments and litigation matters.
- Support the team in tax controversy management, including tracking and coordinating ongoing matters.
- Assist in analysing tax positions and preparing research notes, presentations and client deliverables.
- Support the team in providing business tax advisory and resolving tax-related queries.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records for ongoing engagements.
- Stay updated on changes in direct tax laws, regulations and judicial developments.
Qualifications
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
