About the Hospital

Velliangiri Heart and Multispeciality Hospital, Roorkee, is seeking experienced ICU nursing professionals to join our critical care team. We require candidates who can independently manage critically ill patients and maintain high clinical standards.

Role Overview

The Staff Nurse – ICU will be responsible for end-to-end nursing care of critically ill patients, including monitoring, documentation, emergency response, and coordination with doctors and the multidisciplinary team. The role requires independent handling of ICU patients on rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-dependency patients in the ICU

- Independently assess, monitor, and manage patients on ventilators, inotropes, and other life-support systems

- Record and interpret vital signs, cardiac monitors, ABG, intake–output, and other ICU parameters

- Assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation (BLS/ACLS protocols), intubation, and critical interventions

- Administer medications, IV fluids, and infusions as per doctor’s orders, with strict adherence to safety protocols

- Maintain accurate nursing notes, ICU charts, and handover reports

- Ensure infection control, biomedical waste management, and ICU hygiene standards

- Coordinate with consultants, duty doctors,



and other departments for timely patient care

- Handle emergency and rest-duty responsibilities as assigned

- Educate attendants on patient condition and hospital protocols, as required

- Ensure proper use, care, and reporting of ICU equipment and consumables

Mandatory Requirements

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid nursing registration (State Nursing Council)

- **4–6 years of proven ICU experience** (mandatory)

- Ability to handle **critical patients independently**

- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, ventilator care, and emergency nursing

- Willingness to work **rotational shifts**

- Only candidates with relevant ICU experience should apply

Preferred

- Experience in **Emergency** and **ICU Duty**

- Exposure to cardiac / multi-speciality ICU

- BLS / ACLS certification
