Job Role - Service Engineer

Location - Chennai

Position Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance, and

troubleshooting of Laser & Automation Machinery. The role focuses on ensuring maximum

uptime of machines, delivering timely service support, and maintaining strong customer

satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance

 Install, configure, and test Fiber Laser, Laser Engraver & Cutting machines at client

sites.

 Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and reliable machine performance.

 Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.

Technical Support

 Provide in office and remote technical support to customers.

 Resolve breakdowns and service requests within defined timelines.

 Assist customers with daily operation procedures and basic troubleshooting.

Customer Handling

 Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

 Ensure clear communication regarding service activities and recommendations.

 Train operators on machine usage, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices.

Reporting & Documentation

 Maintain service reports, job cards, and maintenance logs.

 Update service software/CRM after every service visit.

 Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to the technical team.

Skills & Competencies

 Strong technical knowledge of Fiber Laser,



Laser Engraver & Cutting machines

technology.

 Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.

 Familiarity with calibration, color management, and print quality settings.

 Good communication skills and customer-oriented approach.

 Ability to work independently and manage field assignments efficiently.

Education & Experience

 Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical or related field.

Other Requirements

 Willingness to travel for service tasks.

 Valid driving license preferred.

 Strong problem-solving attitude and commitment to service quality.
