We are looking for an experienced and responsible Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our college campus, buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices and other facilities.
The ideal candidate should have good technical knowledge, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to coordinate maintenance staff and external vendors. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all campus facilities, electrical systems, plumbing, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across the college campus.
- Monitor and maintain electrical, plumbing, civil, generator, water supply, and other facility systems.
- Ensure timely resolution of maintenance complaints received from faculty, staff, and students.
- Conduct regular inspections of classrooms, laboratories, offices, washrooms, corridors, and other campus facilities.
- Supervise electricians, plumbers, carpenters, technicians, housekeeping/support staff, and other maintenance workers.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repair and maintenance work.
- Monitor the functioning of the DG/backup generator and electrical backup systems and ensure timely operation during power interruptions.
- Ensure that emergency maintenance issues are attended to promptly.
- Report major maintenance issues and infrastructure requirements to the Administration.
- Assist management in planning repair, renovation, and campus improvement projects.
- Maintain proper coordination with security, housekeeping, administration, and academic departments.
- Ensure that the campus is clean, safe, functional, and properly maintained at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in maintenance/facility management, preferably in a college, school, university or institutional facility.
- Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil, generator, and general building maintenance.
- Experience in supervising maintenance staff and coordinating contractors.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office/Excel and maintenance reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle maintenance emergencies and work under pressure.

- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
- Vendor and contractor management experience.
- Knowledge of workplace and electrical safety procedures.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative staff, students, and service providers.
