Position: Commis 3 – Pan Asian Cuisine
Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis 3 – Pan Asian Cuisine to join our culinary team. The candidate will support the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, mise-en-place and service while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with the preparation and cooking of Pan Asian dishes.
- Perform daily mise-en-place, including cutting, chopping, slicing, marinating and portioning.
- Assist in preparing ingredients, sauces, marinades, stocks and condiments.
- Support preparation of dishes from cuisines such as Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and other Asian cuisines.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods and presentation standards.
- Assist the team during busy service periods and ensure timely food preparation.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning and presentation.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling and handling of food ingredients.
- Follow FIFO practices and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, utensils and kitchen areas.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and FSSAI standards.
- Coordinate effectively with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen team members.
- Support stock checking and inform senior chefs about shortages or damaged ingredients.
- Follow all kitchen SOPs, safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen; Pan Asian/Asian cuisine experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Pan Asian ingredients, sauces and cooking techniques.
- Good knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking methods such as steaming, stir-frying, deep-frying and wok cooking.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, discipline and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Hospitality/Culinary qualification or diploma will be an added advantage.
