2. MACHINE OPERATOR

Experience

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience operating woodworking / modular furniture manufacturing machinery.

Position Objective

The Machine Operator will operate and maintain production machinery to manufacture accurate and high-quality components for modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, crockery units and other furniture.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operations

* Operate Panel Saw and other assigned machinery safely and accurately.

* Operate Edge Banding Machine.

* Operate Multiple-Boring Machine as required.

* Assist with Cold Press operations where applicable.

* Set up machines according to production requirements.

* Read and understand production drawings and cutting lists.

* Check dimensions before and during production.

* Ensure correct machine settings.

Production Quality

* Maintain accuracy in cutting, edge banding and drilling.

* Check finished components for dimensions and finish.

* Identify defective material or machine-related issues.

* Immediately report abnormalities to the Factory Manager.

* Minimise wastage and rework.

Machine Maintenance

* Perform daily machine cleaning.

* Carry out basic operator-level maintenance.

* Check blades, cutters,



pressure systems and consumables.

* Maintain proper housekeeping around machinery.

* Report machine breakdowns promptly.

Safety

* Follow all machine safety procedures.

* Use required PPE.

* Never operate machinery without appropriate training.

* Maintain safe working distances and material-handling practices.

* Follow factory safety and housekeeping standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Minimum 4 years’ relevant machine-operation experience.

* Experience in modular furniture / woodworking manufacturing preferred.

* Ability to read basic production drawings and measurements.

* Valuable understanding of plywood, MDF, HDHMR and laminates.

* Familiarity with edge banding and boring operations preferred.

* Safety-conscious and disciplined.

* Willing to work as part of a production team.
