About the Role

We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on Field Technician/Engineer to support installation, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT infrastructure and security systems.

The candidate should have practical knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, PA Systems, Structured Cabling, Networking, Switches and related ELV systems and should be comfortable working at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. CCTV & SurveillanceInstallation, termination and commissioning of IP and analog CCTV cameras.

- Basic configuration of IP cameras, NVR/DVR and VMS.
- Camera focusing, positioning, IP addressing and testing.
- Troubleshooting camera connectivity, recording and network-related issues.
- Support CCTV maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.

2. Access Control Installation and commissioning of access control systems.

- Installation of RFID/card readers, biometric devices, controllers, locks and exit devices.
- Basic configuration of access control software and controllers.
- Cable termination, testing and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of door wiring and access control architecture.

3. Networking & Structured Cabling

- Rack installation, patch panel termination and cable dressing.
- Installation and termination of UTP/FTP and fiber-optic cabling.
- Installation and basic configuration of network switches.
- Understanding of VLAN, IP addressing, PoE and basic network troubleshooting.
- Testing of network connectivity using appropriate tools.
- Identification and rectification of cabling and connectivity issues.

4. PA System





- Installation of speakers, amplifiers, microphones and associated cabling.
- Installation and commissioning of PA systems.
- Basic configuration and testing of PA equipment.
- Troubleshooting audio connectivity and speaker-related issues.

5. Installation & Commissioning

- Coordinate with project engineers, presales teams and customer representatives.
- Execute installation activities according to approved drawings, BOQ and project requirements.
- Ensure proper installation practices, safety and quality standards.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning.
- Support site surveys and measurement activities when required.

6. Documentation

The technician will be responsible for maintaining proper project documentation, including:

- Installation reports
- Daily activity reports
- Cable schedules
- Port mapping
- IP address details
- Device configuration details
- Rack layouts
- Testing and commissioning reports
- As-built documentation
- Preventive maintenance reports
- Site photographs and completion reports

Technical Skills Required

Essential:

- Good knowledge of structured cabling and cable termination.
- Practical experience with IP CCTV.
- Basic knowledge of NVR/DVR and VMS.
- Knowledge of Access Control systems.
- Knowledge of PA systems.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Understanding of switches, PoE and IP addressing.
- Ability to use cable testers and basic networking tools.




- Ability to read basic network/system diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills – Preferred:

- Fiber optic termination/testing knowledge.
- Knowledge of VLAN and managed switches.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi/AP installation.
- Experience with biometric/access control systems.
- Experience with ANPR and video surveillance systems.
- Knowledge of fire alarm/ELV systems.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and networking utilities.

Educational Qualification:ITI / Diploma / 12th / equivalent technical qualification.

- Candidates with strong practical experience may also be considered.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should be a hands-on field technician rather than only a support technician, with the ability to independently execute installation, basic configuration, testing and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, PA and networking infrastructure.

Salary: As per experience and technical competency.

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Regular travel to customer/project sites will be required.
