- Manage procurement of APIs, excipients, chemicals, intermediates, biologicals, molecular materials and other pharmaceutical raw materials.

- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.

- Negotiate prices, payment terms, quality requirements and delivery schedules.

- Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, R&D;, Stores and Finance for timely material availability.

- Monitor market prices, supplier performance, lead times and material requirements.

- Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value raw materials.

- Ensure procurement is from approved vendors and complies with quality and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain optimum inventory levels and support cost reduction initiatives.

- Handle vendor negotiations, purchase orders and procurement documentation.

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials for production.Role & responsibilities
