Assistant Manager Application Support

Reporting To: IT Manager / Application Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Application Support with 3–6 years of experience in application/production support. The role involves managing business applications, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with users and vendors, and ensuring smooth application operations and SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage L1/L2 application and production support for business-critical applications.
- Support SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, ERP, POS, Retail, Inventory, Sales, Finance and other business applications.
- Troubleshoot application errors, transaction issues, integrations and data synchronization problems.
- Monitor APIs, interfaces, application logs and scheduled jobs.
- Use SQL for data validation, troubleshooting and basic reporting.
- Manage incidents, service requests, RCA, SLA and problem management through ITSM tools.
- Support UAT, application changes, patches, upgrades and production releases.
- Coordinate with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and other application vendors for issue resolution.
- Coordinate with business teams across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Stores.




- Maintain SOPs, application documentation, RCA reports and support records.
- Monitor recurring issues and implement measures to improve application stability.
- Provide application guidance and basic training to business users.

Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in Application / Production Support.
- Experience supporting SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with ERP / POS / Retail applications.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML and application integrations.
- Knowledge of ITSM, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Freshservice, ManageEngine, BMC Remedy or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication and vendor-management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
