About the Role

Reel 9 Studio is looking for a creative and versatile Video Editor who can handle a wide range of video editing, motion graphics and post-production tasks for client projects.

The ideal candidate should have good creative and technical fundamentals, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to solve problems independently and find effective solutions using online resources, tutorials and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit documentaries, reels, promotional videos, films, trailers, teasers and BTS videos.
- Create motion posters, social media content and promotional videos.
- Perform video cutting, pacing, transitions, sound syncing and basic color correction.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, titles, typography and animations.
- Handle green screen/chroma key removal, masking, rotoscoping and tracking.
- Add appropriate SFX, sound effects and basic audio enhancements.
- Perform basic compositing and cleanup when required.
- Prepare videos in different formats and resolutions for various platforms.
- Work with footage, graphics, images and other assets supplied by clients.
- Make revisions and adapt content according to creative requirements.




- Collaborate with designers, animators, VFX artists and the creative team.
- Learn current software, techniques and workflows as required.
- Independently troubleshoot technical and creative problems using online resources, tutorials, forums and documentation.

Requirements

- Good understanding of video editing and post-production.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects or equivalent software.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator is an advantage.
- Understanding of motion graphics, masking, tracking, chroma key and basic compositing.
- Good sense of timing, pacing, composition and visual storytelling.
- Basic understanding of sound design and SFX.
- Good creative and visual sense.
- Strong problem-solving and self-learning ability.
- Ability to learn and handle different types of client requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a creative team.
- Portfolio/Showreel is required.
