Role Description This is a remote internship role for a User Interface Designer. The intern will collaborate with product and development teams to design intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile experiences tailored to rural users and small businesses. Day-to-day tasks include creating wireframes and mockups, refining visual design elements, and ensuring consistency across layouts, typography, and color systems.

The role involves supporting user experience (UX) efforts through simple user flows, incorporating feedback, and iterating designs based on usability considerations.



The intern will also work closely with front-end developers to hand off design assets, document specifications, and help improve the overall usability of Digistall’s digital platforms.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong User Interface Design and Visual Design skills, with a focus on clean, accessible layouts.
- Candidates should possess experience in creating Mockups and basic wireframes using common design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, including user flows and usability best practices.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts (HTML, CSS, responsive design) to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Additional qualifications include attention to detail, robust communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and openness to feedback.
- Relevant coursework or a portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects is highly beneficial; prior experience in designing for diverse or low-bandwidth user contexts is a plus.
