Job Summary :-

The Unit Head – Export Compliance is responsible for ensuring that all export activities of the manufacturing unit comply with applicable national and international trade regulations, customs requirements, export control laws, customer-specific requirements, and company policies. The role ensures smooth export operations, minimizes compliance risks, and supports business growth through effective regulatory management.

Key Responsibilities Export Compliance Management :-

- Ensure compliance with all applicable export regulations, customs laws, foreign trade policies, and international trade requirements.
- Monitor changes in export regulations and implement necessary updates in organizational procedures.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve export compliance processes and controls.
- Coordinate with legal advisors, regulatory authorities, customs agencies, and government bodies on compliance matters.

Documentation & Regulatory Control :-

- Oversee preparation, verification, and approval of export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, shipping bills, and related documents.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of export records and maintain statutory documentation as per legal requirements.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, DGFT, export promotion councils, and other regulatory bodies.

Licensing & Trade Controls :-

- Manage export licenses, permits, authorizations, and related regulatory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with sanctions, embargoes, restricted-party screening, and export control requirements.
- Conduct due diligence on customers, distributors, and international business partners.

Operational Coordination :-

- Coordinate with production, logistics, planning, finance, quality,



and sales teams to ensure timely export shipments.
- Monitor export shipment performance and resolve compliance-related issues affecting deliveries.
- Support international customers regarding export documentation and regulatory requirements.

Audit & Risk Management :-

- Lead internal and external compliance audits related to export activities.
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and customer audits.

Training & Awareness :-

- Develop and conduct export compliance training programs for employees.
- Promote awareness of export regulations and company compliance policies across departments.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement :-

- Prepare compliance reports and present key performance indicators to management.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support digitalization and automation of export compliance processes.

Qualifications :- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Enineering,Electrical Or any other related field.

Experience :-

10–15 years of experience in export operations, international trade compliance, customs regulations, or logistics management.

Experience in a manufacturing workplace preferred.
