Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organized Transport Incharge to manage the day-to-day school transportation operations. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating buses, drivers, attendants, routes, schedules, and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students and staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesTransport Operations

- Manage and monitor daily school bus operations.
- Coordinate bus routes, timings, and vehicle schedules.
- Ensure buses operate safely and on time.
- Monitor daily transportation requirements and make necessary arrangements.
- Coordinate transportation for school events, examinations, trips, and special programs.

Driver & Attendant Management
- Supervise and coordinate school bus drivers and attendants.
- Maintain attendance and duty schedules of drivers and attendants.
- Assign routes and duties based on operational requirements.
- Ensure drivers and attendants follow school rules and safety procedures.
- Monitor discipline, punctuality, grooming, and professional conduct.

Student Safety
- Ensure the safe boarding and dropping of students.
- Monitor adherence to prescribed routes and transportation procedures.
- Ensure proper coordination between drivers, attendants, school management, and parents when required.
- Immediately report any accident, incident, delay, or safety concern to the concerned authority.
- Ensure emergency and safety procedures are followed.

Vehicle Management
- Monitor the condition and cleanliness of school buses.
- Coordinate regular servicing, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain records of vehicle documents, servicing, insurance, permits, and fitness certificates.




- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and ready for daily operations.
- Report vehicle-related issues and maintenance requirements to management.

Route & Attendance Management
- Maintain updated bus route and stop details.
- Monitor daily bus movement and route adherence.
- Maintain records related to students using transportation facilities.
- Coordinate changes in routes, bus allocation, and pickup/drop points as required.
- Track delays and take appropriate corrective action.

Administration & Reporting
- Maintain daily transport records and reports.
- Prepare transport-related reports for management.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Admin Team, Security Team, and other departments.
- Handle transport-related concerns and escalate major issues to management.
- Ensure all transport-related documentation is properly maintained.

Eligibility
- Freshers and experienced candidates are eligible.
- Minimum Intermediate / Graduation preferred.
- Candidates with experience in school transport, fleet management, logistics, facility management, or a similar field will be preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills are required.
- Candidates should have the ability to manage drivers, attendants, routes, and daily transport operations.
