We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on experience across various accounting functions, including book-keeping, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and tax preparation. You will work closely with experienced accountants.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Bookkeeping

- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using modern accounting software.
- Process and record supplier invoices, expense reports, and customer payments (Accounts Payable & Receivable).
- Help perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare routine journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.

Reporting & Analysis

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Help conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actuals and budgets.
- Maintain organized financial records and digital filing systems to ensure compliance.

Taxation & Audit Support

- Assist with sales tax, VAT, or GST returns and supporting documentation.




- Provide schedules and supporting evidence for internal and external auditors during annual audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory accounting standards and internal control policies.

Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or currently pursuing/recently completed relevant professional accounting coursework like ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic financial functions).
- Exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, NetSuite, or Tally) is a plus.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
