What’s the Role?

As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving business growth by engaging with structural engineers, consultants, and fabricators to promote advanced structural design software solutions. You will work closely with customers to understand their engineering workflows, technical challenges, and project requirements while positioning Software Solutions as value-adding tools for structural design and connection analysis.

This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling, enabling customers to improve productivity, accuracy, and code compliance through innovative engineering software solutions. You will support the sales process through technical discussions, product demonstrations, and relationship-building activities, helping customers adopt best-in-class structural engineering workflows.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Engage with structural engineers, consultants, and fabricators to understand their technical requirements
- Understand customer workflows, challenges, and current tools and identify use cases (steel connections, anchoring, complex joints)
- Qualify opportunities based on technical needs and potential value




- Build sales opportunity pipeline and support the sales process through early-stage technical discussions
- Deliver product demonstrations (guided workflows, typical use cases) and explain software benefits/ROI e.g. time savings, accuracy, code compliance
- Build and maintain solid customer relationships to drive long-term business growth.
- Collaborate with internal sales and engineering teams to ensure effective customer support and solution delivery.
- Stay updated on structural engineering trends, software technologies, and industry best practices to provide high-quality technical guidance.

What are the essential experiences, knowledge and skills you need for this role?

- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in structural design, steel detailing, anchoring design, or related domains.
- A good understanding of Steel connections and structural behaviour, Structural workflows and engineering software. Familiarity with structural engineering software such as Tekla, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar tools will be a plus
- Prior experience in software selling
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts simply and clearly to customers.
- Curious and proactive mindset, customer focused and solution oriented
- Self-driven and organized, Comfortable working in a target-driven, team environment.
