? Technical Co-Founder — Hardware × Software × Climate Tech

OctoGrid | Singapore-based

We’re an early-stage climate-tech startup building OctoCool — a plug-and-play device that makes existing air conditioners smarter, more energy-efficient, and capable of responding to electricity demand.

We’re looking for a technical co-founder to join us long-term and take ownership of the technology as we take OctoCool from prototype → product.

What you’ll work on

•⁠ ⁠Embedded systems / C/C++ / microcontrollers

•⁠ ⁠PCB & electronics / circuit design / prototyping

•⁠ ⁠Hardware integration, sensors & IoT

•⁠ ⁠Python / APIs / cloud

•⁠ ⁠Data & energy optimisation

•⁠ ⁠Designing how our hardware + software systems fit together

•⁠ ⁠ You don’t need to know everything — we’ll teach you our existing hardware and codebase. We’re looking for someone with solid technical fundamentals who can learn independently, build, debug, and eventually own the technical direction of OctoGrid.

You might be a fit if you:

•⁠ ⁠Are based in Singapore

•⁠ ⁠Have a background in EEE, Electronics, Computer Engineering, CS or similar





•⁠ ⁠Have built things outside of coursework

•⁠ ⁠Enjoy working across hardware + software

•⁠ ⁠Are comfortable getting your hands dirty and figuring things out

•⁠ ⁠ Actually want to build a startup, rather than take on a short-term project

Commitment:

•⁠ ⁠ Minimum 1 day/week initially, with the expectation of increasing involvement as we grow.

This is not a contractor/intern role — we’re looking for someone who could become a long-term member of the founding team and help build the technical side of OctoGrid from the ground up.
