About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Team Lead Finance to oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end closures, budgeting, reconciliations, compliance, process improvement, and team management while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial recording.
- Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain General Ledger (GL) integrity.
- Conduct periodic ledger reviews and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Month-End & Year-End Closures
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare and review schedules, reconciliations, and closing reports.
- Ensure timely accounting of depreciation, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely closure of financial activities.
- Support statutory and management reporting requirements.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Oversee AP & AR processes, invoice validation, and payment cycles.
- Monitor vendor and customer outstanding balances.
- Review aging reports and drive timely collections and settlements.
- Resolve invoice and payment-related issues with stakeholders.
- Track advances and ensure timely adjustments.

Reconciliations & Financial Controls
- Review bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and aged balances.




- Ensure proper supporting documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
- Strengthen financial controls and compliance practices.

MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial MIS reports and dashboards.
- Provide insights on revenue, expenses, profitability, and working capital.
- Perform budget vs actual and variance analysis.
- Support management with actionable financial insights and recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budgeting and operating plan processes.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders during budget preparation.
- Monitor business performance against approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and support strategic decision-making.

Compliance & Audit Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
- Support internal, statutory, and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide required documentation.
- Track and close audit observations within agreed timelines.
- Drive adherence to authorization controls and governance frameworks.

Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and finance processes.
- Drive automation initiatives and reduce manual interventions.
- Improve reporting efficiency and turnaround times.
- Collaborate with ERP/IT teams for system enhancements.

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure quality deliverables.
- Establish timelines for recurring finance activities.
- Drive team capability building and succession planning.
- Ensure business continuity for critical finance operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

- MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Professional certifications such as CA Inter, CMA, ACCA (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.

- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring finance teams will be an added advantage.
